Dear Friends, you can ignore the video if you can't stand a rough show like
this, but please go to the next URL and sign the on line petition "Stop the
dolphin and whale killings in Taiji".

Please forward this e-mail on to all your friends and family....

I've just watched the video clip, and signed the petition.

If you don't like what you see will you do the same........

If you eat meat how can you in conscience sign this petition?

Very easily thanks. Huge difference between eating Cows, Pigs and Sheep(Baaaa!) that have been humanly slaughtered and Dolphins and Whales, which I don’t eat and have not been humanly, slaughtered.

Thank you arf005, for bringing this to my attention.

I agree with Ali and find the practices depicted sickening. I do eat meat, and would have no huge moral objection to eating dolphin if it were tasty. But we do (IMHO) have an obligation to use our technology and wit to minimise the unnecessary sufferng of our prey.

I've signed the petition.

What are you on about ?

That is sickening to see, I am a meat eater, I only eat free range organic meat, I always buy the best possible, this is often not possible from supermarkets.

I never buy battery eggs either, (laid by chickens in cages often stood in their own urine).

I have also signed, am I wrong in doing so because I choose to eat meat? - I dont think so!

My partner contributes to greenpeace, she also happens to eat meat.

Is that wrong Nigel? Roll Eyes

I think the levels of hypocrisy on this forum is astounding.

You sit here crying for a dolphin whilst chowing down on your tuna sandwich.

Did you know that Tuna can reach in excess of a tonne, double the size of a dolphin? They are pulled in on a net and chucked into the centre of a barge where they are left to die.

Get a grip, 'whilst children walk on by..' is because that is their way of life, just as it is yours to tuck into a big steak of an evening and occasionally sign a petition when your guilt or some American voice peeks your interest on the web. If you do not like what you see, either turn your eye as you have done all your life or do it properly and stop 'talking the talk'.

I'm with Nigel and Garyi. All commercially caught fish die in the equivalent way to a human being drowning. Humane my arse! There's some pious claptrap on here!

Why are killing Dolphins? Are they good eating?
Posted on: 05 March 2007 by garyi
Long and short is yes. Like tuna.

I have no idea if this is specifically why in this instance. Dolphin and Whale have all sorts of connotations for Japanese and Chinese cultures.
