Struck me as a clever ploy by which a (possibly quite fine) young classical pianist might catch the world's ear and thereby distinguish himself from amongst a horde of other young classical pianists. The traditional way one does that - namely, by playing better than anyone else - is admittedly rather harder to pull off.
I'm sure I'm wrong. Skeptics always are.

And all his clothes had the labels cut off.
Wasn't fired out of a sub off the coast was he?
Curioser and curioser.

I know who he is and where he comes from but they should also be looking for his friends.

On our local news today, and as explained many people like this can compartmentalise their special talent so even if all else breaks down they are able to still excel in that special regard.
Looks pretty genuine to me but then I like to look at the romantic side of things.
