I loved Whatever Happened to Benny Santini but it doesn't seem to have made it to CD. Shame as it's a great album.

Here's a split personality thing: I always used to groan when I heard Chris Rea. On the otherhand, I have hand I bought Wired to the Moon on vinyl when it was released and played it a lot - in fact I was playing it the other week. Some stand out tracks:

I have 6 of his albums and like them all.Last track on Road to Hell, Tell me There's a Heaven is a real tear jerker.
He's good live too, another of our class guitarists.

Here here love that track was listening to this album at the weekend, a forgotten gem really high quality music from Chris.

At least he didn't need the crappy fake vinyl effects that he used on "Dancing Down The Stony Road", that p1**es me right off.

PS, as you have reminded me I've stuck "Beginnings" on.

Another vote for "On the Beach" - the whole album's great IMO, but in the original mix. Memories of listening to this whilst laying on a greek beach...

I saw him on his very first tour. He was supporting Bad Company.

I like this one too. Favourite track - Gone Fishin'.
