Inadvertent upgrades

a.k.a No Willpower.

Popped into my local dealer on Saturday to find out if the Linn trade in on cartridges applied to MM. I did have the intention of swapping my aging K9 for an Addickt, but found myself ordering a Dynavector DV20 instead.

Oops!

It should be on the deck next week, so I'm looking forward to re-visiting my collection then.

Anyone else ever had a similar lack of willpower in the presence of their credit card and a hi-fi shop?

Regards,
Steve.

Bosh,

Local is a relative term with me I'm afraid. I live in S. Derbyshire and the dealer is Griffin Audio in Birmingham.

After I handed my notice in to BAe while working in Saudi, I popped into the dealer with my wife to let Mohammed, Yousef and the boys know they could cut back on their teabag orders. We px'd the 72 and 140 for 102 and 180....no job, no prospects....but never regretted it. Yousef's reasoning was that once I return to the UK upgrades will be difficult. How right he was.

I'm actually really fighting the upgrade bug for a 282 as I want a bigger soundstage. I feel like an AA person, taking each day at a time, hour by hour, resisting the urge to whip out my card and charging it all at once. Ah what a rush it's going to be.
