Okay AV2+Sony s760+ Infocus projector= Lip sync problems. Why? Sound before picture. Looks amazing, sounds amazing but together you might as well be watching some badly dubbed Japanese b movie. Very frustrating

Cambo,
have you tried adjusting the audio sync delay in the AV2?
If you are going direct into the AV2 via the analog inputs then of course you will need to make this adjustment within the Sony Bluray player. Some cheaper machines don't offer this though. Not sure about the Sony, but best check the manual.
The reason this happens is that often the video signal undergoes much more processing than the audio, whether within the player, or at the screen/projector, hence the lag. Direct mapping at the projector end, where you bypass the onboard scaling, helps here. However, it means that you'll need to match the player's output resolution to the native resolution of your projector.

Hmmmm. Just got my AV2 back from repair. So I'll give it another go. But the preamp does not advance the signal does it? I have fed the optical out out the tv receiver into the Naim and that has solved the Sky sync problem. I shall see if it works for the DVD. Downside of that though is the TV has to be on at the same time as the projector. Not ideal.

Cambo,
the AV2 is audio only so can only delay audio. In most cases this is the required delay as video signals often get delayed during all the scaling and processing they go through.
If I read what you've written correctly then it sounds like the audio delay you get when running from box - tv - AV2 instead of just from box - AV2 gives you the correct sync. In which case you need to increase the audio delay on the AV2 and you should be fine.

Well all sorted. Whatever repairs were made to the AV2, seems to have sorted the problem. All synced and happy days
