Anyone going to Henley Royal Regatta?

Hi winkyincanada, as you are familiar with rowing on both sides of the pond you should know about another Marlow boy, Mike Spracklen, probably the best rowing coach on the planet bar none. What he did with that squad of canuk no hoper muscle hulks at the '92 Olympics was something else. Then to go back (never go back) & coach Canada to win the World Champs in 2002, 2003, 2007 & 2008, what can you say. Why did he not coach GB, my view is the GB hierarchy where too far up their own arse, they & Mike had massif issues over the years over coaching methods, and it seems had too much pride to bury the hatchet.

Ah! The Flower Pot used to walk there on Sundays for a few then a slow stroll back along the river.
