Which artists are you seeing in 2009?

It seems to be that time of year when next years tours are announced. So perhaps a central spot to see who we've missed so far?
Our List so far
Richard Thompson January RFH
Jackson Browne
Aussie Pink Floyd
Ultravox in April
Jean Michel Jarre in May
Porcupine Tree in October

Tonight at the Sydney Opera House:
What a wonderful world! Australian jazzman James Morrison pays tribute to the great Louis Armstrong in a concert of classic hits with the Sydney Symphony.

Saw him last Friday at Warrington Parr Hall. That was the 4th time I have seen him live and every time has been really good. In fact, he is one of the few artists who for me impresses more on stage then in the studio. There is so much energy in his performance, a very powerful show. You won't be disappointed Howard (unless you have seen him before so you already know!).

Was thinking about it but 150 quid for two top price tickets (which were quite a way from the stage when i was looking) plus 18 quid for parking at that wembley sh**hole is too much. they have oct 31 on sale now but same night as hampshire jam.

James,
I hope its a good gig.
Paul has been very hit and miss over the last few years.
Stu
No probs Stu. It was excellent. Really good mixture of periods, with Wild Wood done with an interesting 'Silver Machine' vibe, and four encores (though the first one may in fact have just been a quick wee break).

I've just booked this too. I really like the venue though I've only recently come across it - I saw Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby there earlier this year. Last time I saw Eliza was maybe 10 or 12 years ago over a pub in Parrs Wood along with the rest of the Waterson / Carthy clan. A great evening for about £3, if I remember, but I expect this will be a very different show. I'm seeing Po' Girl this Wednesday, again at the Met and thinking about Gretchen Peters later this year. In the meantime I've enough to keep me occupied with
Po' Girl, 10th June, Bury Net
Antony & The Johnsons, 4th July, Opera House, Manchester
Leonard Cohen, 14th July, Liverpool
Leonard Cohen, 19th July, O2 Dublin
... I see a theme developing here..
Leonard Cohen, 20th July, O2 Dublin
Lucinda Williams, 31st July, Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
Leonard Cohen, 3rd August, St Mark's Square, Venice
Eliza Carthy, 10th September, Bury Met
Ray LaMontagne, 13th September, Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
Martha Wainwright & Co, 9th December, Royal Albert Hall

Got a couple of tickets for Los Endos on Saturday, at Cranleigh.
Re Fleetwood Mac, we got 2 cheap?? tickets, any further from the stage and we would be out side. Didn't you just know they would put another date on.

That looks like a great day, Mat. Having already seen your aforementioned 3 on several occasions I would therefore personally prefer to see Karine Polwart and Jim Moray. Unfortunately I am away for this one. Have you considered this Moseley Folk Festival? We'll be there again this year, a hidden gem.

That looks a great gig Mark...I try to catch Tull every year and not seen them so far in 09. I would be there...but it's the due date for my wife...I'll put it to her, but I can see her putting her foot down here
