The new range: facts and questions

Preamps: two rca inputs, phono via stageline only. Unlike the Nait, they don't use the resistor ladder for volume control.
Power supplies:
Hicap--"dual 24V" like the Flatcap 2. Is one of these lower current like the FC2?
NAPSC: "can be used to power the stageline". How about on the CD5?
Power amps:
Nap 300: can swing 750 vA transients in text, 500 in specs. Now, what about the Nap 500 (no spec given)? Like the 135, has fan. 90wpc.
Nap 250: like the above, uses those new transistors that the Nap 500 has. 80wpc.
Nap 200: Swings 300 vA transients. Now, what about the Nap 150?

Hicap: dual 24v, just like the old one, not like the FC2.
NAPSC: dual 24v, IMHO, yes you can power the output of a CD5. Is it an improvement over the built-in PSU, i don't know (it should be).
NAP300: 750VA or 500VA? you are right.

Correction:
the new NAPSC is single 18v (it was a mistake on the site), so cannot power a CD5.

Shame it has to look like late eighties Levinson though. Silver is the new black guys.

Silver boxes look horrible and their owners are nothing but fashion victims.
There is only one black, and it's not available in silver.

Steve.

and gold is even worse...
now if only the Japanese manufacturers would realise this and stop discontinuing their black models.

Probably not.
You'd drink black coffee or perhaps white coffee.
So forget silver. It looks crap.
And if you've got a room where silver looks OK...
...then you're whole room looks crap.
We're fortunate in the western world we can worry about such details as the colour of our boxes (oo-er missus).
But we do, and therefore black is best.
Next question?
!!! There's always money somewhere for the next upgrade... !!!

That looks terrible!
The only tasteful gold comes in discrete jewellery, the volume control on my preamp, and my beer!
Regards,
Steve.

Steven,
Kit colour I'm indifferent to but beer is definitely best in Black!
