Anyone listened to Eno's new album, 'Another Day on Earth'?
Its a lot more commercial than his ambient stuff, but very good for all that.

Would anyone be willing to recommend one of Eno's ambient CDs for someone who's never heard them before?

Thanks,

Owen

'Music for Airports' and 'Apollo Soundtracks' are two of my favourites.
Also, the albums 'Another Green World' and 'Before and After Science', while not wholly ambient, nevertheless contain some beautiful moments.

Thanks Malky, I'm really interested in checking out his stuff after hearing his work on some Bowie and Robert Wyatt stuff... will check out music for airports I think.

Owen,

You'll be pleased to learn that Robert Wyatt appears on Music For Airports.

Cool, thanks Mark. I actually saw Mr Wyatt in Covent Garden the other day with his wife, I was amazed! Not many people would get the significance but it was good to see him,

If you like Eno's "ambient" 70's stuff, check out Jade Warrior's albums on Island Records, that inspired Eno to do his stuff: Floating World, Waves, and Kites.

Michael, I'm curious as to what "more commercial" means to you.

Best,
Fred
