Found a better cable than a cobra 2

I thought it would be worth letting you guys know about my latest cable addition.

Until recently I'd been using a transport/dac fronting my Nait 5/hicap. Along the way I decided to upgrade the digital interconnect and started doing some research on the net. On of the guys on another forum was a bit of a DIYer and offered to make me one to try out.
Three weeks later and he sends me 3 types of digital interconnect and also a replacement for the RCA-DIN cable to connect the DAC to the nait.
Two of the digital interconnects were simply average when compared to my existing, the third was pretty good though, and I kept that.
The RCA-DIN however was simply not as good as the existing Cobra 2 I had, so I returned it and the other non-used cables.

A couple of weeks later, he sends me a replacement RCA-DIN cable. Don't ask me about the construction, all I know is that it has braided wires, some massively meaty RCA plugs at one end and a reasonable quality din at the other (not locking, but you can't win them all).

So, I set out to burn in the cable. By now, I've also changed the CDP, which is now a Teac VRDS-7 and has made the DAC defunct (now sold).

I leave the cable for a couple of weeks to burn in (and also move house), then come back and complete a back to back test against my Cobra 2. And the results:
- better detail and definition
- more bite and attack to the sound
- more bass
- generally more musical and believable.
In comparison, the cobra 2 seems a little "soft".

Either way, this chap is trying to see if there might be any interest to try out his cables.
Any thoughts?
