An evening with my daughter...

Posted by: Ridzwan on 22 September 2006

My 7 years old daughter made a request from me to play "so lonely" from the Police (my favourite band). It's been about a year I didn't play that song which I have in vinyl & CD. She didn't know the title but she just sing it for me then only I know. I ask her which one you'd like to hear (CD or LP)..."record" (LP) she said....and we had a nice evening listening session.

Nothing much, just to share..just ignore if doesn't interest you..cheers everyone!

BTW, her brother trying new skills with his bike outside.

You could buy her a HiCap for her birthday.

if you like "wrecking ball" i reckon you will also like "red dirt girl". its got great tracks like "tragedy", "bang the drum slowly", etc that make you feel good about owning a naim system.

what a voice, heh! she is welcome to come and cry on my shoulder any day... (sorry, a bit off topic here...)

enjoy

....Like another poster we didn't even have a record player until I was 11 yrs old but I did use to visit an aunts house (she had a Dynatron mono player) where my slightly older cousins would leave their Beatles, Searchers, Hollies 45's (they didn't have a record player either!) I use to sit entranced listening to them.
..Despite owning some pretty expensive high end hifi stuff over the years nothing compares to the excitement I got listening to those 45s.

..My 9yr old son has been surrounded by equipment since birth and will demand I play the Gorillaz albums to death ..he's also getting a taste for Cheap Trick so perhaps there's hope for him yet ....playing Miles Davis is a sure way to get him off to bed though! ..someday..........

Anything from the bouncy "Basement Jaxx" will result in my two jumping up and down with glee.

James Brown works well, along with Fatboy Slim's non sweary tracks.

My daughter, 8, has a real soft spot for Simon And Garfunkle's "At the zoo".
