Yes yes,
Accent on Music is by far and away the best dealer on the East Coast. It's right up the Sawmill parkway (Henry Hudson to Sawmill).

If you are in Manhattan, try Innovative. There is a link through NANA.
Very helpful in my experience.

Thoroughly agree, both the folks in Brooklyn and Manhattan are nothing but helpful and a million miles better than anyone else in the city.

PS Lars, drop me an e-mail if you want any NYC restaurant picks or other info while you are in the city - would be happy to help

On one occasion, Innovative refused to dem a full Linn LP12 against a Naimed LP12. On another, they gave a great dem of a 102.

Contrary to the above, Innovative did demo the Naim and Linn LP12 decks against each other in a 52/250/NBL system on my request. Mind you I had made an appointment to do just that very thing.

I found out that Mt Kisco is just 3 or 4 exits north (on Saw Mill) from Pleasantville where I stay during my visits to the US. I really have to go there. I'll also try to visit Innovative when I go to the City.

I went to check out Accent on Music today and I must say that I was impressed! "The boys" were in the city doing some installation work, but we were very good taken care of. I finally got around to listen to the 5 series including the AV2. I think the CD5 and nait5 was good but I will save my money for a 102/140 or 102/180. I still think that the nait5 is good VFM though.
They really got it all: Naim, Linn, Rega, Nottingham Analouge, Arcam, Rotel and even better LP:s.
Thanks again for your help!

Well, Innovative refused to do the dem when I called to make an appointment. The good dem happened when I just walked in unannounced.
But I'd give them another try myself.
