England to win World Cup?

What do you think ? at last we seem to be playing with confidence and solved our left side problem with Joe Cole who was blinding.............indeed everyone played well (apart for Rio) and against good opposition

Regardless of what sport you talk about, the answer must be no.

HOW did Wales do Justyn ?
Posted on: 01 March 2006 by andy c
Which game were you watching? England played quite well - better when Wright-Phillips came on it has to be said - he booked his ticket after tonight, as did Crouch. Bent may miss the boat this time - Owen and Rooney already have their rooms reserved.

Gerrard looked v quiet, and Cole was man of the match.

England just need to keep winning...

and at least they are going to the world cup!

Musk,

Unfortunately Wales will never be a strong team in world football and I doubt will see the World Cup Finals in the near future. It doesn't explain England playing poorly IMHO, and since this is their last competitive game before the World Cup there appears a lot of work to do.

Justyn.

Don't give up hope Uraguay's the same size as Wales and they've won it twise !

Wales were unlucky not to qualify unlike Scotland who are just a joke .........even the Swiss are taking the piss !

IMHO

Pigs to fly?

Oouch - just hit by a flying pig.

We've got good enough players - but I prefer it if our 'keeper didn't flatten our defenders.

Still Joe Cole was superb - there are few better than him when he's on top form.

BTW what has Sven got against Gareth Barry - when he needs a left back who is fit?

I think it was the last game before the squad is selected, but they have more friendlies to come, dude.

Brazil have to be strong favourites for the world cup. England have a lot of good players but lack a decent manager.
Posted on: 02 March 2006 by Charles De Meester
On our day we can beat anyone, Brazil are however in a class of their own.........but thats the exciting thing about football its not always the best team that wins !

I'm new to this forum so Hi to everyone , could someone please explain how one is able to get sections of other peoples posts within ones post ? also is there a spell check ?

Thanks

Charles,

Welcome to the forum, there's no spell check facility, best bet is to type in Word and cut and paste if you need to. To use quotes use the "..." button next to the message tab and cut and paste the text you want between the " marks.

A bit cutting Andy?, I,m glad that England have qualified and will be cheering them on through the tournament, I was simply giving my impression of the match in that if England are going to win the World Cup then IMHO there needs to be a significant improvement. I agree with your comments regarding Joe Cole, although i thought Roony didn't contribute much to the game and Beckam still seems to have a dicipline problem at times (his tackle for which he got booked was disgracefull).

Musk,

As i,m sure you know Wales drew 0-0 in front of a capacity crowd of 12000 (Spoke to someone who went to the game this morning and they said the Stadium seemed empty - you couldn,t give the tickets away).

If they were to lose Sven Gone Eric and Kevin Beckham before the tournament, they might have a better chance of doing well.

Hang on, is that a squadron of pigs coming in fast and low from the west?

Charles

Second icon from the right at the bottom of the post - is the reply with quote button. It'll open up the Post A Reply window with the old post pasted in between quotes.

Then at the end of the message just type something that you want to say like England certs for the World Cup or England to retain Ashes for next 100 years or England to Win Six Nations - anything non-contaversial like that usually does it and putting it in italics gives it a different slant.

Not a hope with the current captain.

Beckam, Ferdinand and Neville were all outclassed.

It wasn't until the last fifteen minutes that the England squad looked like they were capable of winning a match.

Trinidad and Tobago must really fancy their chances now.

PB's prediction, home after the first round!
