Chris Isaak Live on "This Morning"

Posted by: jim learoyd on 22 September 2006

Just got up from last night's night shift (12-15), dazed, knackered, feeling crap, tired and all the rest of it as I'm sure you night shift workers will know. Just as I turned the telly on the usual shite daytime TV was on which was "This Morning" and that very annoying stand in female presenter (Not Fearne) was introducing Chris Isaak.

This man is one of my favorite artists. He played "Wicked Game". It was an acoustic version. I have to say it was an amazing performance, his singing was superb and excellent guitar playing. It was a very rare occasion you see live performances which are truly outstanding. I hope other forum members saw him to also comment. Having said that their are probably very few naimees watching morning TV.

I will now of course start to dig out his back cataloge. He is at present touring his "Greatest Hits" album of which I have most of his songs on other cds.

Hi Alan

The track Wicked Game I think first came out on the cd called "Heart Shaped World" but is more well known on the sort of best hits cd called "Wicked Game". If this is your first cd of his this would be the best one to start with. I have already got 3 cds of his and just ordered 2 more, thats how much seeing him this morning made.

He was on the local news singing I Don't Want To Fall In Love acoustically too and it was marvelous.

A very good live singer and had a good bit of banter too. He went up a lot in my opinion in the 5 mins he was on.
