Led Zep on CD *****..

Posted by: Peter Voigt on 03 October 2003

Led Zeppelin on the discs I have are boring flat and lifeless..
I've heard that it is not so on vinyl.
Does anybody know Led Zep cds where the music is alive and kicking?

Regards Peter

btw am I the only one that feels that the new remastered Stones cds are a bit boring too (the sound is bigger and every instrument is more detailed etc.. but I believe the old bad recordings are more alive.

have to disagree with you there Peter. I suppose it lacks the crackle and pop, but I've heard it like I remember it, and then some from CD.
Have you tried the BBC sessions?

Howdy

Thats quite a name you've got yourself.

If you are right, then it sure is a pity. The music obviously has a lot in it. But its so boring. I've heard a lot of music go dead on CDs (specially the early cds) and i figured this might be the case here as well hmm Frown

Ill try the BBC sessions, and see how I like it.

Regards
Peter

Unfortunately some CD's of old recordings sound flat compared to the original LP's because of poor mastering.

They sound flat and sterile.

Try the first Led Zep album , that seems Ok
