BBC Proms - 330k aac

The BBC are broadcasting the rest of the Proms in 'Estra High Quality'. See:

However AIUI you need a PC to receive this using iPlayer. IMHO it is a great shame that they don't publish a URL that you could enter into vtuner, and then use your Uniti or NDX

Listening to it via my mac mini and SN right now. Seems to be working well. No music yet, though. Just the introductions.

I watched and listened to a free live broadcast of the Berlin Phil with Simon Rattle playing Mahler a few days ago - courtesy of digital concert hall. Very impressive; and possibly a portent of the future. There's a large number of Berlin Phil/Digitalconcerthall concerts available to watch on your pc, though if you've a Sony TV or BluRay it is even easier as you can stream straight to them. If you like classical music this is well worth checking out.

It seem interesting. But is there a way to send the sound from the Berlin Phil to the Uniti (I have no TV, only a computer and a Uniti !)?

Richard Dane: will you please explain why you edited my post?

At the moment, I think the only way of doing this is to connect your PC to the Uniti, preferably using one of the Uniti's digital ports.quote:Originally posted by phk:

The survey is an opportunity to rate the sound quality and record any comparison with DAB. So worth completing.

The 'stream capture' feature of foobar should grab whatever is playing on your pc and serve it up over upnp; you will possibly lose a little sync. You might also use an Apple Airport Express with Airfoil.
Still no explanation why my post was edited.

Sorry, can't recall what I edited last week. Was there a link to a commercial site? That's usually what gets edited. Every now and again I accidentally press the edit instead of reply with quotes button - especially if I'm on the iPhone which can be a bit hit and miss. Even if nothing is changed it still says I edited the post....

As far as I can remember my link was to the Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall website - they were offering a free live webcast of Simon Rattle conducting Mahler. It is true they are a commercial site offering paid , but the also offer a lot of free material - both may well be of interest to a few of your customers.
Why on earth would you edit such a link? And if and when you do, do you not think you should have the good manners to tell the poster you have done so, and why?
