Them Crooked Vultures

Anyone heard this band? It comprises John Paul Jones of Led Zep, Dave Grohl of the Foos and Josh Homme of QOTSA.

They've only played a few gigs so far, but the video clips (just search YouTube/Google Video) look awesome and they've been getting rave reviews, including this for their debut gig in Chicago earlier this month.

It's rumoured they're going to play at Leeds/Reading this weekend and may make their UK debut supporting the Arctic Monkeys at Brixton Academy on Wednesday. I would kill to get a ticket.

Any forumites seen them yet?

Album's out October or November apparently.

I can't wait, they sound fantastic!

A good find Kevin and an excellent supporting review. Looking forward to some samples when added to their myspace. No doubt there will be comparisons with Jack White's Dead Weather and some pointless 'Project Wars'.

Not seen them, and have no chance of doing so, but am aching to hear just a few tracks on something other than youtoob. You can't even get a decent feel for the music with quality that shocking.

Their record company seems to be pulling all the clips that show up on YouTube, save for their official teaser, this fourteen second riff - nice.

I couldn't find any of their set from Reading on iPlayer, and there's still nothing on their own website either, though there's a tantalisingly short clip here from the BBC website.

Elephants is excellent!

Son is a litte pissed he was offered Arctic Minkies tickets, and turned them down, TCV played support for that gig.
