Detailed Description
Recording The Beatles (Deluxe Edition)
Your Price: $100.00
SOLD OUT (as of November 15, 2006 - PLEASE READ BELOW)
Yes, the first run of the book has sold out! We know that many of you were hoping to purchase books for the holiday season.
The next printing is currently on press, and the books are scheduled to arrive sometime in January.
This would be too late for holiday gift-giving, but we are offering a partial solution to this problem: Place your advance order now, and we will advance-ship you the package of bonus items that normally accompanies each book. This package includes the detailed wall-poster of the REDD mixer controls, a full-color reproduction of John Lennon's hand-written lyrics to "A Day In The Life", reproductions of various rare photos of the Beatles taken by engineer Ken Scott, and several other unique items. Also included - and only available during this pre-ordering period - is a preview booklet, which provides a sampling of the book's contents in full color. While no substitute for the actual book, the booklet and bonus items would still make a suitable gift for a friend or loved one, an enticing "placeholder" until the final books arrive (US orders placed after December 17 may not arrive in time for Christmas. Non-US orders placed after December 14th may or may not arrive in time for Christmas).
Once the books do arrive from the printer, they will then be immediately shipped out to everyone that placed an advance order. We apologize for the inconvenience - the book proved much more popular than we had anticipated, and we are working hard to meet the demand.

Never before has there been such an absolutely thorough and definitive look at how the Beatles' albums were recorded. Years of research and extensive interviews with the group's former engineers and technicians shed new light on those classic sessions. With a detailed look at every piece of studio gear used, full explanations of effects and recording processes, and an inside look at how specific songs were recorded, Recording The Beatles is a must-have for any Beatles fan or recording engineer. Hardcover, 11" x 11", 540 pages, over 500 photos and illustrations, color and black and white, includes slipcase and bonus items, ISBN:0-9785200-0-9
