Steve Earle- Washington square serenade
Posted by: mike/dallas on 09 November 2007
The new steve earle cd is excellent. One of his best, no weak cuts and several highlights including Tennessee Blues, City of Immigrants, Sparkle and Shine, and Jericho Road. Sonics are hit or miss, a bit murky on a couple cuts but good overall. First duet with his wife Allison Moorer.
Highly recommended!

Thinking of getting my first Steve Earle CD - any recommendations for a newbie?

Guitar Town, the first LP, is hard to beat. Why not start there and follow his career.

Cheers Guys
Having a quick look on Amazon I have managed to pick up the remastered version (brand new) of Guitar Town for £2.72 plus £1.24 postage (I can't say how much I love Amazon Marketplace).
Copperhead Raod and Jerusalem added to my favourites.
Looking forward to listening to it. Anyone who describes Marah as intellectual AC/DC gets my vote (and money).
Cheers
