Problems with Windows XP user accounts

Posted by: John Channing on 19 November 2005

I am using the Home edition of Windows XP and have the following problems:
1) If I am logged onto the PC with my account and my wife tries to use the computer and switch to her account, Log off\Switch users does not work. I have to log off completely and vice versa if I want to use the PC after her. This problem started when I installed SP2.
2) There are redundant accounts on the PC which are inaccessible and consuming large amounts of disk space. The User Account management tool in the Control Panel cannot access these and if I try to delete the data through Windows Explorer I get access denied, even though I am an Administrator. How can I delete them?

"Zone Labs reported this was an issue with one of their versions, although it
does not mean that it's the cause in every case. But, it was for mine. I
did recently update to the newest version, and now FUS works."
