Burj Dubai - hi-rise hi-fi problems?

Since the tower apparently "sways" a lot - it must play havoc with a Fraim setup! Anyone here live in a hi-rise?

Having experienced the earthquake in Niigata in Japan a few years back from my room on the 23rd floor of the hotel - I thought how difficult it might be to ensure everything stayed put..

Thoughts?

Never been in a hi-rise in EQ. Our Northridge quake years ago was like a train going off track and I was 60 miles away I was visiting a friend in a 2 story townhome. He'd never been thru one.

I'm sure a stack of kit and Fraim would be a bit of a jumble but all those chords in the back...

I did hear of friend's fridges that walked across the kitchen so your system might 'dosey do' with your TV.

Good recent towers are engineered to sway and roll, just don't try to walk.

I apologise but I can't remember who it was that posted some "after" pictures of his FRAIM and kit.

Interesting thought, earthquakes aside - living in extreme hi-rises must add significant vibration on the top floors. Fortunately my system is more or less on sea level. Smile
