MotoGP 2007

Looks like fun judging from the testing. Those new Honda RC212V's look really weird too, with the back end looking like a drag bike.
Anyone want to make some predictions?
I think Dani Pedrosa will go well.

apart from rossi whos the obvious choice, id say colin edwards will go well !
pedrosa is getting better with experience, though i think its beyond him this season.
also keep an eye on loris capirossi who i think is a brilliant little rider who if he has the luck which every rider needs to win a title will do very well.

I hope Rossi reclaims his crown this year. It's great watching a legend in the making & there can't be many people who have made dominance of a sport so interesting! Pedrosa will provide great competition and a real contrast to the Rossi persona -a touch more of the serious ruthlessness, Doohan-esque.
Can't help but feel 2006 was a bit of the last chance saloon for Hayden. Pedrosa was that strong in his first year; Hayden must have known the window of opportunity would close if he didn't get a result. Displaying the N0.1 plate has been a heavy burden, even a curse for some(look at the title defences of Roberts JR & Criville).
A rider I hear has high regard in the paddock is Chris Vermulen. While Hopper has been making plenty of noise pre season, we may find it's Vermulen that actually gets the results for Suzuki. What do you guys think?

Stoner has done well in testing and at Jerez, going quicker than 'Little Loris' However we must look who has just won his forth BMW, and that man is Valentino, and I know it is easy to back the favourite, but the man is a genius. First time out a half baked M1 he beat the rest of the field, and continued to do so. The ride at Donnington in 2005, Philip Island on the Honda... there are so many rides that are testament to his skill. So I will be backing Vale, not because he is a dead cert, but because he is a natural talent. Danny Pedrosa, whilst another natural talent, will continue to annoy me throughout 2007, and I believe his hunger to beat Vale could see him in some bother. Look what he did to his rather lucky team mate!

Colin Edwards? I love the guy but I think he was at his best in SBK. I'd love to see him do well, or even have a late term at no.1.
Little Loris wasn't looking so little. He seems to be getting chubby, but he's good to watch and I like him a lot. To be honest, they are all a good bunch of guys, even KRJR.
You can't compare Rossi to Doohan. Doohan was the most boring rider and bloke who brought the sport to a standstill. Rossi, for all his dominance, is never boring. He was the shot in the arm that the sport needed after the Doohan years, mainly for his sense of fun. I am lucky enough to have seen him race when he was a rookie, and he was shockingly fast then!
Kevin Schwantz will always be the king though.

A Yamaha 1,2 victory would be fantastic.
I hear the new 800cc yam has eliminated all the chatting problems that plagued the 990cc bikes in 2006. With Rossi at the helm it should be enough to see off Honda.

My first sports bike I bought new in '86 after watching Kevin Schwantz in his debut at the Transatlantic. There was nothing like this on the road at the time and it used to draw crowds. Looks so dated now, but it was fun at the time.

Little Dani seems to suit the smaller 800's alot better than the old 990's and think he and Vale will run pretty close this year.
Poor Nicky looked pretty glum after being over a second off the pace at the Jerez session last weekend.
Anyone here subscribe to the motogp.com coverage? Waaay better than the tv coverage we get here in Canada....
