Anti vibration amp stand

Posted by: DynaudioBoy on 01 June 2003

After reading posts about stands and their ability to improve sound, I searched around and found fraime and mana to be good and much talked about, little did I know they are very very expensive.

I have found a company that produces anti vibration stands for components that have the perfect balance between sound quality and price, hence good value for money unlike fraime in my opinion at over £1000!

it only cost me £60 I'm really happy with this with my setup NAP140/NAC72.

It has a glass shelf and four needle points.

Could you kindly point us to a website perhaps? Or a dealer where you bought it, or something?

Don't know about RTC brand, but I use a similar support. It consists of a sheet of laminated steel ( very solid and inert ) supported by either 3, 4, or 5 ball bearings in cups. Its available in a few sizes, unfortunatly naim needs the largest size at about £120.

The sound gained more weight, and was less harsh using my Meridian cd, as of yet it's not under my CDX2 - I'll let you know.

ghunter,

have you considered the excellent Neuance shelves, which are made in your own backyard?
