biamping with 135s.

I have a pair of 135s with a 52/supercap. What do you need to biamp if another pair of 135s is acquired? That is, do you need a differenct pair of interconnects from the supercap output to the 135s that has a Y-connector type setup? Has anybody had much experience with passively biamping with a pair of 135s? Is it worthwhile? Seems that 135s can be had for a decent price these days, so it got me thinking. anyone? david

I'd like to know the answer to this one too. I have NBL's and I think bi-amping passively would be just the ticket. Help would be appreciated. Cheers, Neil

james, have you actually tried passive biamping with 135s? I use Piega loudspeakers. They have 2 sets of binding posts, one for the woofers and one for the coaxial ribbon tweeter/midrange. david

passive biamping is a waste of time.If you need more grunt buy a more powerful amp

Having tried this option with 4 x 135s, I agree 1000% with this.

Not only are any gains minimal(are there any?),IMHO there is also a heavy price to pay in sound quality in my experience

As James has stated 4 passive 135s (with my 2-way speakers) actually sounded worse than a single pair.
