I have been on this site for a year now, & to date I have seen these mentioned once!
I have been listening to them for many, many years.. indeed they were one of the first 'new finds' when I made the switch to buying cd's on the arrival of the cdi.
I realised early on that for some reason they have a simply enourmous following in the 'states, but do not seem particularly popular over here for some very strange reason? Especially as they only come from Leeds!
So tonight I get to see them live.. for the very first time. I only discovered that tonight was their last gig (Stables - Milton Keynes, not sold out yet!) whilest surfing last night. Amazing.. 4 gigs in the UK and then an enourmous tour in the US.. Is their music realy so un-popular here, or is it classed as being lightweight? Whatever, I happen to like what they do very much.

& on looking at the Stables website who should be playing on the next night (19th) but the lady whos voice I fell in love with back with the album 'Mischief' but Christine Collister..
Can I realy stay in M/K for two nights...

Just finished istening to their recent CD "American/English".

I have one or two of their CD's which I picked up (guess where) on business trips to the bay area.

Steve - I have quite a few of the AA CD's. To my taste they are very light listening but some of their work is absolutely excellent. It is great music to play on a sunny day and also sounds very good on the system.

I particularly like AART, The Beaufiful Game and Positive Thinking. I was a little disappointed with their new CD American/English - it tipped the scales for me into pap.

I saw them live 18 months ago at Pizza Express in London and it was an absolutely fabulous evening - the musicianship was the best and very entertaining.

I bet you must have really enjoyed the show in MK.

If you like the guitar format try Strunz and Farah, they are hypnotic.
