All-weather Poohsticks apparel

Chaps

Once Mrs F and I have the Murcieolago (it's ordered, in custard yellow) we will want to attend the odd Poohsticks tournament. Being an avid Poohsticker, I never allow the weather to stop me Poohsticking.

I am wondering, what all-weather Poohsticking apparel will best hide my gentleman's portly tummy region. Should I go for a cape - or the pant and top combination?

Scuba gear if planning on using this bridge not far from me the other week.

Yes that is a Volvo estate on the bridge.

Getting in and out of the Murcieolago is going to require a certain amount of flexibility, as will the hours on your knees poohsticking, so I think the pant & top combo isn't going to work too well. It will be too tight and maybe part in the middle - especially the red latex outfit that I know you have your eye on. I'm also concerned that the cape will end up hanging out of the door and dragging down the road, which is okay in the Suzuki Swift on the way to the supermarket, but it just wouldn't do in the Lambo.
You've got to have something generous, loose, but without excess material that will get tangled with your pedals, so I think a custom made waxed cotton nuns habit would fit the bill, and it might help with those occasions that you are pulled over for speeding too. If you were clever, you could sew some concealed kneeling pads in there.

Deane,

What you need Is Mick Parry. He is the forum expert in/on wet weather gear. Why only a few months ago he started a jolly interesting thread about what to wear when cycling in the rain.

(he is also an expert on rhubarb)

Deane, I think you can still get arrested for that in many states.
