Weighing upgrade options

Posted by: Stephen Dupuis on 07 August 2001

Hi all,

I was just wondering how many of you choose what to upgrade. This month I plan to sell my 3.5/high and 32.5 in favour of a CDX and 82...

but, there always seems to be a but.
I know that I will eventually arrive at a CDSII and 52 cobo but I hate the idea of losing the value when trading up. I would lose 30-50% form each the CDX and 82 and am toying with the idea of getting a super cap and CDX. Also another route is supercap and XPS if a modified cable will work with the 3.5 (anybody heard of this), this way I can go directly to a CDSII as the next upgrade and then to a 52 with no 'penalty'.

I think that the CDX and 82 will bring more immediate enjoyment but.... oh the stress of it all.

Anybody else hase the insecure issues?

Steve

Yeah, I have the same problem. I don't make a move until I figure out what's bugging me about my system. Then I go to the most direct fix.

I have gone the step-by-step route. In a sense it can be more expensive this way, but since even the best will be ultimately unsatisfying (i.e. it's still reproduced music), the step by step way delays the final downer.

Regards.
