...... and the marvellous John Cooper Clarke Smile

Fantastic, both!

Reminds me that you really 'get' F/Fs when you see them live, and experience first hand how all the elements of their music fit together.

Sorry never to have seen JCC. He came to our little Norfolk town about six years back (local poetry club) and I remember how fed up I was that I couldn't go! Frown Mind you, the parson laughing at 'Splat Twat' probably wouldn't have helped matters... Big Grin

...saw him when I was an impressionable 16 year old and he was bloomin marvellous. Remember he smoked a fragrant cigarette with a friend of mine back stage.

At one stage I had an orange vinyl cd single of his, indeed it may still be in the attic Eek

I was surprised that he was still alive and kicking....

Saw him open for Siouxsie and the Banshees once - very surreal. That was in the very early eighties though.... JuJu tour I think.

I had the Splat Twat single - very naughty!

Fleet Foxes were good - must check them out - any recommendations?

It must be me, this group ought to tick all the right boxes, but I just find them tedious. Maybe it's the vocal blend, I dunno. Sure don't sound like CSNY or the BBs to me.

I'm the same, they should work but they don't do it for me either.................... unlike Bon Iver whose record 'Forever Emma Ago' which was my record of the year 08.

Whereas, I'm FF obsessed and can't work out Bon Iver!
