Way to go Ivor

What are they thinking?
Ivor Tiefenbrun, Tory candidate for Maryhill and Springburn starts by insulting virtually the entire constituency. I presume they've already written it off so thought they'd give us all a good laugh meantime.

Isn't "source first" the politics of grievance?

Refreshing. A potential politician who says what he really thinks, rather than what he thinks people want to hear. If all were the same, it would make elections easier to understand

Nero,
I see your point. Given that he does think that though, he might have been the wrong choice for a constituency full of Thatcher-hating Scottish SNP and Labour voters.

Maybe he should if he really wants to be elected?

Bigh,
He can't possibly have thought he had a chance of being elected in this constituency, which is why he said these things. Surely?
He can't really be thinking he's earning a chance at a safe seat though, coming out with stuff like that. Presumably he's just amusing himself and his friends?

He always was a twat but got away with it because of Linn. Welcome to the real world Ivor. Few adoring Linn fans in Maryhill and Springburn I suspect. His selection for that constituency in the first place also suggests the Scottish Tories are as clueless as ever regarding Scottish sensibilities.
