No.7 is becoming a joke.... Personally, I can categorically state it is the single issue stopping me from purchasing a HDX........

I remember it was supposed to be a April ETA...Really, how hard can it be to 'put a man on it' and get it done - considering the original software was 'hired in', where is the delay in doing the same..?? I've seen Apple, and even Microsoft, write whole OS software quicker than this is taking... Roll Eyes (And please, no replies from dealers stating it is going through the final beta testing to catch any bugs - we had this May through October).... Frown

Thanks PureHifi

You have optimism where others Despair.

As SC says This must be the longest Beta test ever.!!!!

I really hope "The Mother of all Development and Testing" has gone into this update.

Could somebody tell me what the problem has been to make it take so long to release?

Or are Naim deciding to add Internet Radio?

Perhaps they decided to add world peace.

Some coding required.

The HDX is now shipping with 500 GB paired drives.

BNC digital output socket is imminent as is software update.

azja - the point is the update has been in the pipeline for the last 6 months and we have been told it will be released soon, for the last 3/4 months.

By such a long beta testing I expect a 100% bug free version and no more excuses from Naim. My personal guess is that Naim prefered to develop the Uniti with all its streaming instead of supporting HDX buyers by finally coming up with a bug free software.

The best comes to he who waits...Very true this...so true...come on guys, naim are probably working flatout to sort all this out, it's probably taking longer than even they anticipated. When it's done, it's done. This sort of thing happens all over, look at games console launches,X box, PS3? new microsoft operating systems, massive companies these Roll Eyeseasy for me to say sitting on the fence i know but it still holds true...
