If you're morbidly curious, check the "bugger off" thread to read his denouement.

I suspect that Graham had a gutsful of getting his head kicked in by a bunch of fucking bullies and their sniggering sidekicks and has skedaddled to greener pastures. Pity, but that's the nature of the beast I guess, even in cyberspace (especially in cyberspace where safety in inaccessibility protects the cruel and violent from the real-world consequences of their actions, much as it does for practitioners of road-rage).

It's been an interesting lesson.

Minky

Just remember he repeatedly joked about a robbery where a man was mangled to death under a car with his wife looking on.

If that is your sense of humour. then fine, but most of us felt it was unacceptable behaviour. He did not even apologise.

I hope the Moderators have removed his access rights.

Possibly you would care to draft a response to the mans widow explaining the funny side to all this.

Sad but probably true. Frown

In his last post I think Fritz explained himself on that score rather well.

He was commenting on a news event that was in itself tragic but then there are lots of tragic events of a similar nature that go unreported...

I think that was his point.

Steve.

There was no excuse for his disgusting posting.

His apology was half hearted and insincere.

I hope his access rights have been removed.

Whatever his motives and presentation style, that post was appalling.

...or, having untangled a few of them, found it not nearly worth the trouble.

I had no problem with the self-proclaimed "wisdom" of his ramblings, as I too ignored the bulk of them. I just didn't care much for his perpetual self-promotion, his euro-folksy drunken sage affect, and his "when-is-an-empty-canvas-art-and-when-is-it-just-an-empty-canvas?-only-those-who"get-Fritz"-can-say" attitude.

I'm suprised that few people here couldn't see what Mr Fritz was doing.

It seemed to me that he would repeatedly pick a very touchy, controversial story, which many people would find upsetting if it affected their personal life and post it amongst half a page of humourless trash, usually including unnecessarily foul language. Although we were expected to differentiate between funny and not funny in one sentence. I don't know what he was trying to achieve, as not one of you caring individuals ever replied to him. If the small number of sad people who are sorry to have seen him gone actually replied, maybe he would be here. Hypocrits.

As to Ludwig naming me as one of a group of people who made him disappear, why don't you look at my bloody post you antagonistic sod. All I said once, was he was dull. I never asked for anyone to go.

Mr Fritz was looking for attention, most people ignored him, he gets a couple of people knocking him and he leaves. Typical attention seeking behaviour.

The idea that Graham found the death amusing seems absurd to me. He was clearly attempting to highlight some sort of alleged misconduct, although I must admit that I don't quite know what.

However, I did think his post was in poor taste (and I was glad he apologised) but this is no excuse for the verbal mugging he received from Mike Lacey, whose response conveyed 0% compassion and 100% malevolence. I find it most surprising that those who sought to ban Graham found Mike's post less offensive to the extent of not even commenting on it.

Finally, isn't it ironic that ML should be so offended by Graham's post in that particular thread? After all Mike started the thread with a supposedly amusing post about Tourettes syndrome which I'm sure for its suffers and their families is no funnier than death...

We will have to agree to differ. My post was 100% compassion, for the family of the dead man. Graham has the right to post, I have the right to view some of his postings as drivel. His "apology" was made after my vulgar response, and more sober ones from others.

He said himself "Go on, be honest." I was. If my Anglo Saxon language offended you then my apologies but I would have said it to his face if he had said it in conversation in a pub. Believe it or not.

Mike
