Wogan on the Sunday wireless

Posted by: Mike-B on 14 February 2010

Did you listen to Weekend Wogan.??? Frown
Oh dear, a live audience of what was obviously awestruck TOG's shipped in to pay homage to 'imself.
Laughter (compulsory) seemed to be provoked with the aid of a cattle prod.
The jokes & presentation skills were more suited to an OAP afternoon tea club meeting

The good side - Jamie Cullam, Norah Jones,
The bad side - Wogan, no topical political news chat, Wogan, no Parkinson, Wogan, no Michael Ball

If the BBC think this is the way we want Sunday morning radio to be, I'm taking up an allotment.

I agree with Mike.
Besides any man who uses the word "wireless" in its proper sense, cannot be all bad.

Yep I listened to some of it and is was awkward sounding both from him and the audience. I believe it was filmed today for a programme on the BEEB at sometime.

Perhaps it's time to pension off the fellow?

Nothing quite as sad as a man with his reputation hanging on past his sell by.

I thought he had already retired. Or was all that fuss and shenanigans before Christmas a dream?

I imagine he'll pop up from time to time, here and there.
