Filling a large room

Posted by: bobbysam on 28 January 2004

I would like to loan my system to a party serving about 125 people in a space measuring 40 feet x 40 feet. (I have no idea what that would be in meters. ) I have a 72/250/cd3.5, and 2-hicaps. The musical selections would be mostly from dance, disco, and R&B genres. I would have to rent some large speakers.

Any ideas?

I would recommend a different amp to the 250 - it will porbably shutdown for half an hour through overheating, just as the party gets swinging!.

Rent a Disco PA system and speakers, bugger the quality, it won't matter anyway.

Bobby you would have to push your system really really hard, it would not be a good idea.

Rent a PA buddy. Don't do it - really!

Agreed - defintely rent a PA.

I have the t-shirt. Shutdown amps and melted Sara tweeters in the past. The booze goes down - the volume goes up, and then oops!
