...but I can't find the right words to narrow down a search.
How many folks have matched a Naim preamp with a non-Naim SS amp? I may demo a 202 or 282 in my system to see if I can add a pit of punch (PRaT?) without losing the transparency I now have using a Placette passive. I suppose I'd also have to get one of the 'caps' to power it? With the current gear, would I still have to have the pre modified to accept non-DIN connectors or do they provide RCA ins and outs? (I'm leery of RCA-to-DIN interconnects. I used to have a CD5 that I ran in a non-Naim system and found the DIN-to-RCA cord I used bright and hashy in that context.) Any other issues I should consider?
