Oh, come on, the Mondays were bobbins!

I don't think any of their stuff's aged well, but Bummed and Pills n Thrills had some great songs - I had taped copies of both and didn't realise until I heard it again recently that Martin Hannett's murky production on Bummed is supposed to sound like that. : ) I haven't heard anything after that.

James's 'Loose Fit' twelve (with a big intro?) was a good one, though the tracks I remember most are these three Oakey remixes (at least, I think they all are) that close out my only ever Mondays purchase, the Hallelujah ep. I've hardly ever heard these since I was a kid as mine was stolen ages ago, but found them on YouTube...

Such a good intro, turn it up...

Had this bassline (borrowed from The O'Jays) in my head ever since seeing this thread twenty minutes ago...

Probably my favourite, love the sample from NWA's 'Express Yourself'...

Of course, the Roses were miles better. : )

In his defence he said he was in a Cardigan.

Never really got the HMs or the SRs ... preferred Blur and Oasis and Pulp and Garbage

Shaun and his brother did a lot of good keeping this vermin down in Manchester.

Saved the council loads of money.

My fave track has to be their live version of performance on tony wilsons tv show the other side of midnight.

I remember watching it with my flat mates and all going WOW! the groove, guitars, bez, attitude, just seemed so fresh and ours!

This led to long nights in various Manchester clubs!!
