n-Serve iPad App v2.3 out

Posted by: Nick B on 02 May 2012

Anyone else enjoying the latest version of the n-Serve app for iPad (v2.3) ?

I'm liking the new metadata editing in-app rather than the previous method using DTC, but was hoping to be able to edit the extended metadata as well as the basic bits the DTC already let's you do. There's also options for cover art providers in a web search, and it's a lot easier to edit and assign genres through the metadata edit facility.

Good job Naim, after the next n-Stream release (mustn't get greedy !), can we have full metadata editing please ?

I am finding editing metadata much easier now.  However, I still cannot get Japanese characters to work.  I can input them, but when going back to thew album display they have disappeared.  Does it just not properly support foreign scripts, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi All,

Just returned home and downloaded the new n-Serve update.

Brilliant! Can now add all the missing artwork, and as noted by "dis" earlier, this addresses many of the issues for us Mac folks, until the long awaited dtc software turns up.

Intuitive, easy to use............well done Naim!

Regards,

Dave.

I suspect I'm missing something but I can't see where I can change the album artwork, using the ipad and with the latest version of the app. Is anyone able to give me a few pointers?

Regards.

You can only edit music ripped by userve/HDX and stored in a music store. The edit key icon is displayed once an album is featured on the app.

To hannoy63

On the iPad:

Open the nserve app and then the album in question.

Select edit (its in the top right corner).

Select change cover which brings up a dialogue box and select web search.

Once you have found the cover art you want from the Internet, press your finger against the picture for a second or two and another dialogue box appears where you select use image.

Job done. It quickly becomes quite intuitive.
