What a strange occurrence? Not sure I've heard of an un-merger before.

I thought it strange at the time as both stores seemed to have conflicting markets.

BT and Cellnet

Coates and Viyella (not sure if that went ahead)

Lennon and McCartney

Peter Gabriel and Genesis (though that was unPC in my book)

I think Howard's point is that it was strange to un-merge at this late stage. They didn't make it down the aisle.

BTW BT and Cellnet?  2 different businesses. Therefore a sell off not de-merger.

Sevenoaks,

Shut  shops before the merge .

Most likely the new branding has not worked and  AudioT just want to distance them selves before the shit hits the fan??

Making sure they don't have to cover any future loss or warranties/vat/tax/and the other money stuff.

Milking comes to mind.

Just called into my local Audio-T  now all sign written & new 7.O. awnings fitted a few weeks ago ......  they said thats a real nuisance that will need to get changed ASAP

I asked wots going on & got replies that were all very PC & polite, we are told ... didn't work out ... different ideology .........

When I suggested one side might be all AV & stock em high sell em cheap that didn't seem to be the Audio-T way,  it was the body language that told me more than an agreement.

I asked if they would still handle naim  -   yes yes hopefully more than before.

On the watch list I guess

Audio-T seem to be closing down stores left, right and center too, though??

I'm not sure it's all a one-sided affair?

Love my local Audio T to bits - Reading. I really hope they survive. Bought a fair amount over the last ten years. Had fantastic advice. but its a difficult climate on the high street at the moment.

Can the business retail model of Naim (and many other manufacturers) survive without change?

Audio-T directors have posted a statement on the coloured halibut forum.

It seems reasonably positive.
