Streaming Spotify to NDX via Asset Upnp server

for anybody not discvovered it.

asset has the option to use

'WASAPI PC sound card capture'

as a source for streaming

Could you give some more details on how this works on the NDX side? Do you set "'WASAPI PC sound card capture" on the NDX?

I'm considering an ND5, and how  to listen to MOG or Spotify is a big questions at this point. Do you have the PC connected directly to the NDX via SPDIF or over ethernet?

Seems a Squeeze Box into NDAC would give more flexibility, but I like the 1 box solution.

Long term, hopefully this will be solved by Naim integrating Spotify and/or airplay.

With Spotify & Asset UPNPserver setup on the same PC (with internet connection) it is possible to stream Spotify to NDX or any other UPNP streamer.

ASUS eeepc, Win 7 (low power fanless design cvirtually silent design) with asset upnp server & spotify installed & flac files on hard disk.

Enet connection to NDX (either direct wired (i.e. single lead no switch) which suits me or via a enet switch)

Select asset server on NDX.

'PC sound capture (wasapi)' is one of the standard asset index search functions e.g. album, artist, genre, folders etc.

I leave Spotify running on the netbook with a large playlist on loop.

Can than select between internet radio, flac files via asset, spotify via asset using the hand held remote, which also controls volume on the nait XS.

The above I find an acceptable solution with quick easy acess to my music needs.

Ocasionally I use another netbook with either Foobar, Asset or Kinsky (UPNP control point) if i want to look at album art whilst making up a playlist on the fly.

Internet radio  connection is via wifi on the netbook, by configuring bridging of the ethernet & wifi ports.

I have been looking for a solution to stream Spotify via my Uniti since I purchased it in December last year.

I downloaded the free 30 day trial version of Asset Upnp yesterday and it worked straight away
