After my experience of seeing them last year I have no desire to ever see them again. One of those artists that I have gone right off after a live experience........anyway, they will sell out and I am sure those who go and love them will enjoy.

I saw them at the Southampton Gaumont Theatre in 1978.

They were as dull as dishwater.

I was going to use that phrase also Mr Click and it sums it up for me.

Could be said about any gig IMO.

No chance that a group may have changed in 34 years mrclick?

I'll buy the BluRay.

I saw them in the late 80's and they were pretty good but I suspect in the intervening 20 years they'll have changed a bit...

I loved the last tour, and the one before that, and .....

They are playing as well as they ever did, and with such a back catalogue to draw on there will be a lot of old favourites, and probably a few surprises.

What really comes over is how much they enjoy being on stage together, and their ease with their ability to play their instruments. They are having fun, and that is more than can be said of a lot of bands on stage.

I first saw them in 1980 and it is still one of the best gigs I have ever seen.

Sadly right at the moment, buying of concert tickets is on hold, so I will hope that I can pick up seats nearer the time of the show.

Saw them at the O2 last year and it was great to see them again after the first time in 1981.

However getting to the O2 from Buckingham was an exercise in extreme pain. "Time Machine" was pretty appropriate for what happened ... in fact maybe we stumbled into a time warp back to '81 again.

1 Virgin trains from MK to Euston were late.

2 The car park at MK station charges you 2 full-days for an overnight stay of about 14 hours.

3 The hotel we'd originally booked let us down so we had to source another at last minute.

4 There were delays on whatever underground line (Jubilee extension I think) it was we needed to be on to get to the O2. So had Rush not started about half an hour late then we would have missed the start - of course you don't know they will do this when you are on the train annoyed that you are going to miss the start.

5 The web site that sold us my Virgin ticket cocked up and sold us a ticket that the ticket inspectors said was off-peak only - forcing me to pay for another ticket. The web site eventually refunded the price of the original ticket after examining their logs and admitting they were wrong so hat's off to them but it caused me to miss the train I was supposed to be on.

So, if I go next year ... and I'm not interested in keeping concert promotors in the latest Ferrari/Lambo/Bentley so won't be paying a year in advance ... then it will be to the NEC which is about an hour up the M40/42 and with a car park outside.

Cheers

Scott

Just feel lucky you have a choice.

You can still go to gigs and still see great live bands with history.

I have seen Rush on every UK tour since Permanent Waves in 1980 and have already got my tickets courtesy of a fan club pre-sale yesterday. I will be taking my 17 year old son who first saw  them in 2007 to Sheffield, Block B, 4 rows from the stage.

Can't wait for the new album and May 28th 2013
