How many on here still use whistling Kettles?

Posted by: Gale 401 on 17 May 2012

I bought one today just because i liked the look of it and thought it might come in handy.

Electric power cuts and the like.

But after feeding it with the same mug full of water as my trusty Electric Russ Hobbs????

It took ages to boil.

The Russ did four well before the whistle went off.

Electric must be cheaper than one of these on a gas cooker ?

PS my Russ Hobbs does have a powerline on it.

Hi Stu just wondering if you have been at a lose end today? Watching kettles boil , anticipating power cuts are you thinking of moving to Greece. Anyway thanks for the laugh just before my bed time may be is time for you to go for a lay down also.

Hope you are feeling in better health take care Graham.

Stu,

What about trying the black stuff?

I mean boiling with coal (not vinyl)

Tony,

Those are great in the summer when its warm/hot.

Come winter they are so slow.

They don't like the cold and drop in air pressure .
