Newbie help..SuperUniti..playback and next track selection

Hello,
New here, so new infact I havent even bought a superuniti yet. However as the price tag is taking me months of savings I have a niggling worry that I was wondering somone might be able to help with.
I recently demo'd the unitiqute. Very nice it was too, but as I'm pairing with a set of monitor audio pl100. So I thought I had best aim a few months longer at the superuniti. Plus it has more inputs which might get used in the future.
However during the demo we were having some issues which are putting me right off.
Can you or can you not browse your music library while a track is playing. On the demo we would play track A say then i might waat to browse the disk and select another track. Unfortunately browsing meant that track A would stop playing. Is this how they uniti range work.? or was there somthing wrong with the demo unit?
This was using the actual remote. We also tried it using nstream on an ipod touch. When using this it would allow you to browse the library on the touch whilst still playing track A. I am guessing this is a diffrent type of browsing to doing on the uniti
Anyone know the correct answer?
Thank you in advance.

my experience of the qute is the same, the naim app and qutecontrol app allow browsing, whilst the supplied remote doesn't without stopping the track.
I don't know if there is a work round for it, but it can be a pain if you don't want to fire the laptop up or iPod touch.

thanks pg
Agreed, when I have it, will seriously make me think twice about handing over 3 grand of my cash for one.
Anyone know if this is also a problem with the superuniti? Could it be revised with software? sorry but I am not that computer tech savy if there is a very good reasons why it has to be this way.

There is no good reason that it needs to be this bad.
I bought my Sonos before the HDX was released and the usability is still streets ahead of Naim, although it has to be said that the server products are now perfectly OK, the streamers though.....

You can download the manual off the website, but I have no problem lining up the next album/track (or simply browsing) while another track is playing using iDevices, remote or buttons. On the remote you press the OK/List button to toggle between modes (playing now and browse). Same using buttons. nStream also lets you Switch between modes.
Cheers

Same with NaimUniti (and I assume UnitiQute but I don't have one of those.

Yes, no problem browsing whilst playing on my Superuniti, as long as you go back into the list the right way.

Thanks folks... so it was indeed technically, a problem with the demo. I have to admit I really hoped it would be as it just seemed to silly.
Now just for the saving the cash aspect.. Will be going for another demo with the pl100 once i'm seriouse about walking out the shop with a one box solution.

Just to affirm as other have done so, that the UQ and SU allows me to browse through the entire Playlist without stopping the current track! The nStream works likewise. No issues there but I can appreciate that a lack of this feature could be a deal breaker!
