Try this. The score is available for download, too.

Haven't tried it myself yet. Just thought I'd share.

Edit: Downloaded, converted (with XLD) and imported to iTunes in a few minutes. Now listening. Very nice, it is too.

Bump.

Seriously? Nobody interested in free stuff that is also really, really good?

Thanks Winky, well spotted.

Listening to it now, beautiful playing and hi-res recording.

Thanks!

I have Glenn Gould's first recording of the Goldberg Variations in hi res. I know that he also made another and very last recording which a friend of mine has on cd. I am loooking forward to comparing the versions.

Best wishes,

Peter

Thanks Winky - Ms Ishizaka's ivory tickling is a whole lot better than mine !   Listening to the MP3 version while downloading the HD file.

p.s. Been reading more about it. Interesting business model - she raised the finances by an (oversubscribed) Kickstarter project.

That is very cool. I'm going to start another thread on the nature of the music business and how it might be changing.

The site is displaying this notice:

NOTE: The FLAC files previously released seem to have a problem with track 28, Var. 27 (in some players, VCL in particular, it skips the last 2 seconds). We're getting these files replaced and will reinstate FLAC downloads within 1-2 days.

Released on May 28, 2012.

Very, very special. And worth downloading.

Unfortunately now seems to be only available as 24/44.1

Looks like the HiRes download is back as well as a replacement for the original 'dodgy' track.

Even with these minor niggles, the deal is still pretty good value for money!

I'm really enjoying the recordings. A very different feel to Gould's classic interpretations. Paradoxically a little faster, but less "earnest". Still passionate, but more melodic and beautiful to my ears. I also very much appreciate the lack of humming etc.

When I click on the 24/96 torrent link, it downloads a file of 104kb.

Is the 24/44 not hires?

I downloaded before the problems started and got the 96/24 FLACs. The total size of the set was 1.39Gb so 104 Kb is way off that.
