How to tell if I have a 24/192-capable Uniti

Posted by: munkee on 11 June 2012

Hi,

I just bought a second hand Naim Uniti. It was advertised as having support for 24 bit / 192kHz files but I can't get any of my 24/192 FLAC files to play. Is it broken or is it in fact the 24/96 version? I suspect it's the latter, since 16/44 and 24/96 files play just fine, but is there a way to tell for sure from the system information? It's running software version 3.13. In System Status I can also see the following information...

CD SW: 7.05

BC SW: 2D11891

DPCB: DR 003-003

MPCB: MR 002-002

Thanks in advance.

It's a 24/96 NaimUniti with digital iPod support because it states 2D on the BC SW.
If it would be a 24/192 version BC SW would begin with 3D

You can download some sample  24/96 FLAC files from HDtracks:

to test with.
