Please tell I'm waiting for mine!

Well....all I can say is I was able to listen to the prototype unit Naim brought along to the recent Tom Tom 'Festival of Sound' show, and that during the event one of the Naim guys told me he expected the first production units to start shipping in a month or so. The event was, I seem to recall, about two weeks ago so I'd say give it another couple of weeks, maybe three, and you should soon see the first signs that dealers will start getting the odd one or two in stock.

I heard the NDS a month ago and understood poss mid June that's why I was asking! So I'll  plan for August and hope for July!

Heard today that Naim have started shipping the NDS

Saw my dealer today he says deliveries have started to Europe and expect UK delivery late July!

Who actually has NDS on order? When does Naim have summer shut down (will impact deliveries)

I'm expecting to get a demo unit between mid July and mid August. Nothing on order - home audition required. Factory visit on Monday at which I might get some firm dates.

Two of us in Southend have one on order! I understand Naim have an order book for around 300 units

Naim summer break is late August i believe, so just enough time to get a batch or two out to the English contingent. Why do Europe (the Germans) always get these new releases first ?!? it's a BRITISH company!!!! 

So the wait can be enjoyed with debates like this on forum, and because the Germans have the money, and money talks grin. I wonder if Peter at Audiovector is also classified as a German, if so an NDS may be near where I live?

Shipping today. 50 advanced orders, mostly from dealers but some of us have ordered off the back of the Future road show. Naim are chuffed with such an order book in advance of launch and will have most of them out this week. We're getting our demo NDS next Tuesday after a one week run in at the dealer. Today it's being tested in the posh audition room at Salisbury. All NDSs built will be given a full listening evaluation in the demo room - for the time being.

Oh dear are they expecting that much trouble then?

I thought all units were listened to anyway.

They are all listened to, but not necessarily in the posh demo room.

There's are three locations where they might be listened to. Everything is listened to somewhere. Consistency comes from experience and until there are a sufficient number built, every unit will get the full posh audition room treatment.

my office, wherein my system resides, is quite posh i think -- i am open to an NDS demo offer anytime :-)
