Same here. The Beatles have always been there for me. I grew up with them as the soundtrack to my life. Every significant event has a Beatles song alongside it.

Happy birthday Paul.

Happy 70th Sir Paul!

It's amazing to think of how much satisfaction a single person has provided to so many in this world.  He has shared his talents for ~55 years and shows no sign of slowing down.  Though his voice is aging, his productivity and creativity seems as great as ever.  He has remained a very positive presence for parts of six decades.

Wishing him continued health and many happy returns!

Sorry I thought you guys were talking about Paul Simon.

Is he 70 as well, it must be catching?

Like 'em both, but Macca's catalogue is second to none.

That's why I listen to none!!

Sorry I prefer PS's catalogue, at least it doesn't have the f***ing frog corus or Mull of bloody Kingtire, enough to prevent a grown man listening anything else he offers.

Oh well .... (as Peter Green said realising Fleetwood Mac would one day descend in to AOR

I appreciate Mr Simon and Sir Paul: both are fine songwriters.

[I think I have just about everything that both have released]

What about great tracks like Live and Let Die, Maybe I'm Amazed, Another Day,  Waterfalls, Listen To What The Main Said, Jet, Band on the Run, With A Little Luck, Pipes of Peace, Junior's Farm and so many many more ... well I like 'em and what's wrong with that, I'd like to know, so here I go again. And I haven't even mentioned that he was in the most important band in the history of popular music: The Beatles.

And he is a nice Guy too ....

OK so Mull of Kintyre is not my favourite track either, but then he wrote London Town, which is certainly a great song. I don't dislike the Frog Chorus, it reminds me of a Tom Rapp track from the Pearls Before Swine album These Things Too.
