Anyone else here know the name? I've only just discovered his lovely music via 'All My Days' used in the background of a BBC iPlayer trailer on TV!

There's a clip of him playing that song in the studio on YouTube which I think is spellbinding.

I have 'Time Without Consequence' and 'Towards the Sun' on order. Any other recommendations please?

At first listen, it's competent and perfectly seviceable faux-indie musical wallpaper for a dozen or more US tv dramas. Scratch away the surface, however, and there's nothing underneath.

Anodyne, vapid, strangely soulless, cynical corporate pish for anyone who finds Adele a bit too 'edgy'.

(Well, you did ask.)

Try and track down his first EP called Four Songs as to me it's his best. Three of the tracks sound like a modern Nick Drake right down to the vocals

They altered the mix of the tracks they used from the EP for the first solo and personally I think that they don't sound as good.

Alexi sent me an early edition promo copy of the latest about 5 months before it was released with a different cover.

Thanks ewemon. A copy of 'Four Songs' has been located and is on order.

Echoes of the magnificent Nick Drake for me. One track on 'Towards the Sun' kicks off with a few guitar notes which are pure 'Road' by the great man. Alexi is clearly a devotee.

I think the last three tracks on 'TTS' are particularly lovely.
