NaimNet NNP02 Room Amp
Posted by: endlessnessism on 23 June 2012
I managed to buy one of these fairly inexpensively on ebay.
I am in the process of wiring the house and will in due course get a proper NaimNet system installed and configured by my regular dealer, but I'm not there yet.
My question is whether, in the meantime, I can use the NNP02 as a local amp. If so, how? It's got a local digital input as well as a couple of local analogues so, conceivably, I could plug-in a Sonos streamer for local listening, or a radio.
I have tried connecting a source and some speakers but no joy and I'm reluctant to fiddle too much. Quite probably, you need the whole Digilinx / Streamnet thing connected before you can use and control the NNP02, in which case, I'm happy with my bargain and can be patient until I've got the rest of the system up-and-running. Still, if there's a way I can start to use it locally for the next few months...
