I tried upgrading my US to 1.6c from 1.6b. No love.
Found this message in the in the logs:
"Error(7009)=the command name 'backupxml' was not recognised Source=Vader Utility"

Just upgraded my UnitiServe from 1.6b to 1.6c, after two unsucessful attempts.
Discovered the first two attempts failed because I had not configured my CD burner to record an ISO image, the software defaults to record a backup copy of whatever file is selected. After configuring to burn an ISO image, the update worked exactly as described in the migration instructions.
It also helps to open the web browser interface (not the desktop client) during the update, it will tell you when it's done just like the migration instructions say: when the "Please wait ..." message disappears.

I will give it another try on Monday when I get back.
Phil sent me a note that the error message is related to the US being a one disk server and does not have a backup drive.
