Unitiserve System Status

My US seemed to be running hot (Im not sure whether any hotter than usual really) so I wanted to check System Status.

I tried via the web interface, and it timed out on me, so I tried via DTC and I got this message:

'Unable to retrieve System Status.

The Server did not respond in time or is unavailable'.

 

US is working fine, however this is bugging me.

Ive tried powering down,/ rebooting US, but I still cant get it to respond to System Status request.

 

Does anyone have any ideas what can be causing this or how I can get System Status request to work?

ps. Ive checked System Status before without issue, so Im not sure what's changed.

Are you playing music on the US via the desktop client?

 

See if you can access the system messages. If you can look for any messages for the engineer.

Thanks for your reply WonkyBit.

After doing more 'fiddling about' yesterday trying to solve the conundrum, I tried it after switching my NAS back on, (Im tending to turn my NAS off during the day when I am less likely to be accessing the music stored on it as I should be working ) and hey presto I could get System Status again!

the guys from Naim Support tell me that this is because I have a Music Store or Back Up on the NAS.

I hadn't considered this.

So problem solved!

Very cool. I leave all the bits turned on so I have not seen that one.
