Ripping High Rez files

Posted by: jwilkinsjr on 03 July 2012

My apologies if this question has been asked before but I am trying to figure out how to put High Rez files (96khz/24bit purchased from HD tracks) on my NDX.  I have been able to rip them from my computer to a CD-A but the UnitiServe SSD will not rip to the NAS drive.  Thanks

uh......  copy the files to your NAS.  Then the Serve will "see" them and make them available to the NDX.  It shouldn't be any different than any other files.

The UnitiServe will ONLY rip audio CDs that comply with the Red Book standard - it will not pull MP3 / FLAC etc. files from CDs.

I assume that you have set up folders on your NAS for the UnitiServe to rip to and to read downloaded music from (I usually create a "NaimRips" and "NaimDownloads" folder) and have set up your UnitiServe-SSD to rip to your NAS and access those folders?

You can play the files from a USB memory stick inserted in an NDX if you wish or you can set up a share on your NAS (or use the downloads folder on a 2Tb UnitiServe) and put the files in there.

Cheers

He is in the US.

That said from this side of the water VPN or Proxy server to make you 'appear' to be in the US plus PayPal, no address needed.
